Hi Valentino,

I have another issue that I am struggle ling to get the answer for.
I create the stored procedure and assemblies and everything works fine.
When the process is accessed I get the following error, that disappears as soon
as I recreate procedures and assemblies.

Error in task sql: A .NET Framework error occurred during execution of user-defined routine or aggregate "np_mq_send_mail":
System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'AmendmentsSQL.wsAmendmentProcess' threw an exception. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
System.NullReferenceException:
 at AmendmentsSQL.wsAmendmentProcess..cctor()
System.TypeInitializationException:
 at AmendmentsSQL.wsAmendmentProcess..ctor()
 at AmendmentsSQL.StoredProcedures.SendMail(String toAddress, String fromAddress, String subject, String messageBody)
.

Thanks,
Johnny

Thanks all for your nice comments! I'd like to let you know that the article has been updated recently. One of my colleague-experts at Experts Exchange let me know that the data bar on the left wasn't showing what it was supposed to, now it does :)

For the updated section, look for "And then colleague-expert Mark Wills jumps in" and read from there on.

Have fun!
Valentino.

Besides,
The same lines had a different behavior in VB.Net (with Excel automation) and in VBA (Excel VBA).
"MyCell.NumberFormat" in VBA returns english format
"MyCell.NumberFormat" in VB.Net always returns french format. Changing the CurrentCulture was the only way I found (after 2 hours) to get the english format.
Thanks again. Hard to find.

Excellent,
This helped me to solve my problem with french version of Excel, when I use the Range's property NumberFormat (or NumberFormatLocal).
Each Time, NumBerFormat gives the same as NumberFormatLocal, the french Format (with a Date)
If I write this before the new instance of Excel, it works as expected.
System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = New System.Globalization.CultureInfo("en-US")
Thank you very much indeed !

if you find a solution please post it here, since I have been looking for it for more than 5 years.

the only workaround is to use excel Activex to load the file then read cell by cell to export it to any other format.(CSV,DataSet, etc.)

good luck.
